Codex Alimentarius is not something that many people have heard of

Yet this codex is being adopted around the world through the World Trade Organization and is now setting the standards for our Food Worldwide.

So what is the the view? “If Codex Alimentarius has its way, then herbs, vitamins, minerals, homeopathic remedies, amino acids and other natural remedies you have taken for granted most of your life will be gone. The name of the game for Codex is to shift all remedies into the prescription category so they can be controlled exclusively by the medical monopoly and its bosses, the major pharmaceutical firms.” - Dr. Ian R. Crane

“The Codex Alimentarius Commission, an offshoot of the United Nations, is working to ‘harmonize’ food and supplement rules between all nations of the world. Under Codex rules, even basic vitamins and minerals will require a doctor’s prescription. As Europe moves ever closer to adopting Codex standards, it becomes more likely that the World Trade Organization will attempt to force those standards on the United States.” Ron Paul, M.D., U.S. Representative (R-TX), April 25, 2005

Mandatory following of the Code is set for the 31st December 2009.
While on the forefront the Codex has been put forth by the United Nations as a standard promoting health and safety, underlying are worrying policies which include; the mandatory use of antibiotics and hormones in ALL animals used for food.
Mandatory Irradiation of all food. Forbidding labelling that sights the use of of GMO's (Genetically Modified Organisms).
The treatment of Nutrients as Toxins by using Toxicology Risk Assessments to assess them instead of Nutritional Science, this has lead to false results and setting incredibly Low Limits on how much Nutrients can be in foods.
Other travesties include using Napoleonic Code as opposed to Common Law (the legal system on which the USA, Australia, NZ...) is based. What this means is that whatever they do not expressly say is permitted is ILLEGAL.
Also under Codex farmers can call their products organic while they contain up to 30% poisons and contaminants.

They are also going to be enforcing new laws requiring genetically modified crops, pesticides, hormones and antibiotics in foods that will be unaffordable to people living in developing nations, billions of people may die and/or sicken as a result of these policies.In India this is already becoming a national issue as Genetically Modified Seed is already being forced onto farmers by Big Business at exorbitant prices. These seeds also require 5 times as much water. As a result an estimated 125,000 farmers in villages around India have committed suicide (mainly) by drinking their pesticides and poisons, due to debt from failing crops.

While these views have been picked up and propagated throughout the net I have not seen any documents or quotes along side the claims proving them to be justifiable without doubt. I did find that the Independent 'Organic Consumers Association' has a page dedicated to debunking SOME of the information. Several relating to the fact that the rules will not be imposed in the US (currently) by Dec 31st 2009, that the date set is for Europe.

Here are two examples of the Fact vs. Fiction Claims:

FICTION: Theoretical exceptions exist for natural substances which are submitted and accepted for testing by July 12, 2005 at a cost of approximately $250,000 per submission.

FACT: As with the previous example, the authors of the above statement are confusing the Codex Guidelines for Vitamin and Mineral Food Supplements with the European Union's Food Supplements Directive.

FICTION: Codex Alimentarius sharply restricts or eliminates most medicinal herbs and limits the conditions which can be treated using medicinal herbs to a small number of trivial ones.

FACT: The main Codex texts that relate directly to herbs are the Guide for the Microbiological Quality of Spices and Herbs Used in Processed Meat and Poultry Products and the Code of Hygienic Practice for Spices and Dried Aromatic Plants. However, and as will be immediately apparent from their titles, these texts deal with culinary herbs, not medicinal ones..............As such, it can be seen that Codex does not restrict or eliminate MOST medicinal herbs, and nor does it limit the conditions which can be treated using medicinal herbs to a small number of trivial ones.

However looking at all these fact/fiction claims most seem to be pulling up minor issues that don't really relate to the question at the heart of the debate. Is Codex Alimentarius (either purposely or indirectly) detrimental to Human Health and the Environment? They seem more interested in correcting, meeting dates and places, and what different Chairmen get up to.

I have looked through the Codex Alimentarius website myself and done searches for nutrients, toxins... I have to admit that while I haven't had the time to go through 16,000+ pages of information I have not found much that is blatantly evil within the documents. However one would not expect such manipulative, divisive plans to jump off of the page at you.

The main paragraph I found that I had issues with was,
"To prevent the indiscriminate addition of essential nutrients to foods thereby decreasing the risk of health hazard due to essential nutrient excesses, deficits or imbalances. This will also help to prevent practices which may mislead or deceive the consumer."
This paragraph for me rang true to statements in the above video.

So is Codex Alimentarius another form of Government Control over all aspects of our life? Or has all of this been blown out of proportion? As for me, I am unsure as of yet. However feel that if control over life is what is sought by the New World Order Elite, control of food would be near the top of their priority list.
If anyone has documented information that goes towards proving the claims I would love to see them.
But for now I will just stay vigilant and watch what unfolds.

What is Aids?

AIDS is caused by a virus called HIV, the Human Immunodeficiency Virus. If you get infected with HIV, your body will try to fight the infection. It will make "antibodies," special molecules to fight HIV.
A blood test for HIV looks for these antibodies. If you have them in your blood, it means that you have HIV infection. People who have the HIV antibodies are called "HIV-Positive."
Being HIV-positive, or having HIV disease, is not the same as having AIDS. Many people are HIV-positive but don't get sick for many years. As HIV disease continues, it slowly wears down the immune system. Viruses, parasites, fungi and bacteria that usually don't cause any problems can make you very sick if your immune system is damaged. These are called "opportunistic infections." You don't actually "get" AIDS. You might get infected with HIV, and later you might develop AIDS. You can get infected with HIV from anyone who's infected, even if they don't look sick and even if they haven't tested HIV-positive yet. The blood, vaginal fluid, semen, and breast milk of people infected with HIV has enough of the virus in it to infect other people. Most people get the HIV virus by:
having sex with an infected person
sharing a needle (shooting drugs) with someone who's infected
being born when their mother is infected, or drinking the breast milk of an infected woman

Biologists Develop Machine To Remove Viruses From Blood
June 1, 2008 — Infectious disease experts designed a machine called the hemopurifier. It works much like a dialysis machine, using thin fibers to capture and remove viruses from the blood it filters. The machine requires the drawing of blood through an artery, which is sent through a tube into the machine, then back into the body. It can treat a number of illnesses.

REMOVING VIRUSES FROM BLOOD: The hemopurifier uses antibodies to remove viruses as blood filters through it. It is designed to filter out viruses and toxins before they attack organs. The method is very similar to dialysis, and can be used to help patients with HIV, Hepatitis C, the measles, mumps and the flu.

WHAT IS DIALYSIS? Hemodialysis is often used as a treatment for end stage renal disease (ESRD), or kidney failure, in which blood is removed from the body, filtered through an artificial kidney and then the cleaned blood is returned to the body. In the US, hemodialysis is the most common treatment for people who have kidney failure. However, dialysis is also a painful, expensive procedure, and while it cleans the blood well enough to maintain existence, it does little to improve a patient's overall quality of life. Also, data shows that if patients get a transplant before they get to the point of dialysis, they do better in the longer term.

Water flouridation was discovered in 19th century Europe, and currently is practiced in Ireland, Spain, United Kingdom, Canada, United States, Australia, New Zealand and Chilly to varying degrees.

WHAT IS FLUORIDE?

The fluoride which is added to our water supply is common rat poison, a byproduct of the aluminum, steel, ceramic, phosphate fertilizer, and other chemical industries. It is added to usually soft city water in the forms sodium fluoride, sodium silica fluoride or hydrofluoric acid. However, the fluorides occurring in nature, usually calcium fluoride, are found in hard water containing high levels of calcium and magnesium. Physiologically, the body copes better with the effects of fluoride if calcium and magnesium are present, and in cases of chronic and acute fluoride poisoning, the antidote is calcium. Sodium fluoride is highly soluble in water, whereas calcium fluoride is only slightly soluble.
