A comprehensive transatlantic pact clearing the way for the unprecedented supply of private data on European citizens to the American authorities is to be promoted by France in support of the US-driven campaign to combat terrorism and transnational crime.

The French government is expected to use its six-month presidency of the EU, to build on 18 months of confidential negotiations between Washington and Brussels aimed at clearing the complex legal obstacles to the exchange of personal information with the Americans.

The controversial proposed pact, a "framework agreement" on common data protection principles, is likely to enable the Americans to access the credit card histories, banking details and travel habits of Europeans, although senior officials in Brussels deny US reports that the Americans will also be able to snoop on the internet browsing records of Europeans.

The Americans want to seal the accord this year, while George Bush is still in the White House.

NASA recently published a forecast for a “big and intense” new solar cycle in 2011 or 2012, which its suggests will wreak havoc on satellite GPS and telecommunications, power grids and air traffic.
NASA says the next solar cycle, Solar Cycle 24, “could make itself felt as never before.”
We are now at the end of Solar Cycle 23 (see graphic, and excerpts, below), according to the U.S. space agency.

Is a New Solar Cycle Beginning?
It may not look like much, but “this patch of magnetism could be a sign of the next solar cycle,” says solar physicist David Hathaway of the Marshall Space Flight Center.

Almost brings a tear to my eye. My father Patrick worked on this concept for many years while I was little, we use to eat dinner in front of the T.V. because the dining room table was covered in electromagnets, coils, and the frameworks of a box with a silver disk that was the generator.Never got completed due to lack of funding. Sadly he lost a his battle with cancer two years ago. It is an idea that I had always dreamed about picking up and taking over from him on. Looks like it is here now though.
Which is wonderful news for the world. If articles like these don't get pushed underground, and these two men are strong enough to stand up to the bullying, and bribery that no doubt they will be faced in trying to get this out there. Then the world is looking a little brighter.

As a matter of fact, it is a fact that is not known by many outside of Israel or the Middle East:

The Zionist Jews are already re-building the Third Temple offsite somewhere in the Jewish state of Israel, which they plan to re-locate to the original site of the first two temples in Jerusalem, on top of the Temple Mount, the site of the “Wailing Wall” where Jews currently worship, and where the Al Aqsa Mosque currently sits atop. The Zionists are waiting for the right moment to destroy the Al Aqsa Mosque of the Dome of the Rock, which is the third most holy site of the Muslim world, and then relocate the temple they are currently building off-site.

President Bush signed legislation yesterday permitting civilian nuclear cooperation with India, reversing three decades of nonproliferation policy in the interest of redefining U.S. relations with the world's largest democracy and reshaping the geopolitical balance as China asserts itself in Asia.

Bush, who has made the fight against the spread of nuclear weapons a centerpiece of his foreign policy, persuaded Congress to make an exception for India despite its not having signed the nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty. Although critics warn that the deal could spark a regional arms race, Bush called it a landmark moment that finally relegates Cold War-era tensions to the past.

The deal represents a strategic calculation by Bush that it is better to embrace India than to continue isolating it for building nuclear weapons outside international legal structures. India tested bombs in 1974 and 1998, and specialists believe it can produce enough fuel for half a dozen weapons a year, but it is not one of five official nuclear states under the Non-Proliferation Treaty, the main instrument governing nuclear weapons. Neither is its archrival, Pakistan, which set off its own nuclear blasts after India's in 1998.
