Galactic Equinox
However all views need to be looked at to be objective.....
The below is some interesting information refuting the video.
"There is no galactic equinox. The intersection of the Sun with the galactic plane has been a much misunderstood event.
Earth has a wobble in it's rotation. It takes about 26,000 years to complete one wobble. The inference that we are going up and down as we travel around the galaxy is completely false. A lie. When we look up at the sky, we see things from the ground on Earth which are not physically happening. Examples would be the apparent retrograde motions of Venus and Jupiter, stars and galaxies and the Sun appearing to go around the Earth. The story of the galactic plane is no different.
As the Earth wobbles, the position of the Milky Way band APPEARS to go up and down in the sky in relation to when the Sun rises. The Sun nor the Earth is actually PHYSICALLY going anywhere.
In 2012 (and several years before and after), The Sun will appear to rise when the Milky Way band is low on the horizon. Now we know why it happens. How often does it happen? It has happened many times in the recent past. What happened during those years? Absolutely nothing. No invisible rays sent to Earth." - (posted on yahoo answers by 'too old for this')
